Stepper motor can be well controled and develope steady sound in pitch. The pitch of the sound produced by the motor was exactly the same as the frequency of the motor driving pulse. Any object that can be controlled by human can be made as a musical instrument. This works got Undergraduate physical experiment competition of Bejing 1st prize.
This device consists of four stepper motors, a PCB board and resonating body. The signal developes by python code in PC and transfer by BLE. One data package mainly contains 4 notes, and the package will transfer once every 1/32 beats. The music score was decoded in MIDI files.
